KEV THE POPE KICKS OFF THE SECOND QUARTER WITH LIFE IS GOOD 2 LISTENING EVENT

Rising hip-hop star Kev The Pope hosted his listening event for his latest album release Life is Good 2 this past Thursday, April 28. The project dropped via all DSPs and streaming platforms on April 13. The album boasts collaborations from artists like Rockie Fresh, Shotta Spence, and 500 Benz. The project comes just after his latest visual release for “Me, Myself, And I.”

The listening event was coordinated by JJ Public Relations and hosted at the newly opened Mansion Studios in Brooklyn. The event was attended by media such as Music Xclusives, Press Play Agency, Living Icon Magazine, and Something Light Media. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with Kev while enjoying the event’s open bar and select buffet options.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, as a young boy, Kev was heavily influenced by a musical family. His older brother and sister were into hip-hop, and his father was into reggae. As he grew up, he began experimenting with a combination of those two genres, while also dropping in sounds from pop and R&B. By age 12, Kev shot a video in front of his building. Today, Kev is using that knowledge to create a successful career for himself. His sound and style are unique, and his lyrics are beginning to serve as anthems for many people around the country who come from the struggle and who face adversity. “With me, it’s not just about catchy hooks, it’s about being lyrical and having a message and content that’s marketable and timeless.”
