Born and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn, drill artist Curly Savv has been organically making a name for himself since his first viral feature, “Gang Gang Gang.” He recently released his newest project, “Glocky SZN 2,” an eleven track project that features songs from artists such as G Herbo, Rah Swish, Dread Woo, and Quelly Woo.
This project is filled with drill beats but one that stands out the most is “Candy Shop.” A sample from 50 Cent’s classic record, “Candy Shop.” Majority of this project displays how Curly uses drill beats as well as trap beats to share his enticing story. For the “Dreams 2 Reality” track, the instrumental carried an acoustic melody and brought that soothing chill vibe to the tape. Savv openly shows how much of a diverse artist he can be by rapping different kinds of beats. Overall, Curly Savv proved that he can be a creative and diverse artist who specializes in bodying drill beats.
Growing up in Canarsie, he encountered different life experiences that inspired his music. As a teen he began writing and utilized music as a tool to express himself and relate to his peers. This project is simply a timeless tape that any and everyone can enjoy.
Savv’s lyrics on the project have surpassed all expectations from his supporters. His clever gun wordplay and sports references are pretty solid on every record. He knew exactly how to grab our attention and ear with this one. As usual, Curly Savv does not disappoint!
