Disabled Content Creator Helps Hundreds of Musicians: Easterseals Disability Film Challenge
Content Creator Tom Kwiat has helped hundreds of musicians around the world gain exposure over the last several years. Though born with cerebral palsy, this creative did not let anything slow him down. His company, Live and Amplified, now serves as a platform and resource for thousands of artists and Tom continues to be a shining example to all – an example of grit, perseverance, and service.
This year, Kwiat chose to enter the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge. Tasked with producing a short documentary, this filmmaker and podcast host highlighted his childhood, as well as his experiences with Live and Amplified and the COVID-19 shutdown.

“Growing up with cerebral palsy, it was always kind of something I had to deal with,” says Kwiat. “All I’ve ever wanted in life was an equal playing field […] It took COVID-19 for me to realize that this was the great equalizer that I had been looking for.”
This is Tom Kwiat’s third year participating in the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, so be sure to check out his video below, give it a “like,” and leave a comment! Winners of the contest receive $2,500 in grants from Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, a brand new Sony camera, a Dell mobile workstation, an IMDb Pro membership, exposure, and more.
