Eazy-E would be proud.
Megan Thee Stallion keeps giving something to talk about; after “Savage” (Remix) in collaboration with Beyoncé became a hit, Megan has set out to stay on top.
“Girls in the hood” is the latest single from Megan The Stallion, and yes, the name makes obvious reference to Eazy-E‘s song “Boyz-N-Tha-Hood” released in 1987.

The song doesn’t just use the beat of the Eazy-E’s song; it also refers to Megan’s experiences growing up in a Houston neighborhood, and how despite having no education she has been able to reach the top of Hip Hop.
However, the song was not without controversy. Eazy-E’s daughter, Henree Wright, used her Instagram account to talk about the song and make it clear that while she didn’t like other people to use her father’s music, she was 100% supportive of Megan as long as she paid tribute her father.
