Tekashi 6ix9ine still on top – “Gooba” goes platinum

If there is something that Tekashi 6ix9ine is struggling with, it is being humble.

After celebrating that “Trollz” has landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Tekashi has taken enough time to let us know that “Gooba“, his first single after his release from prison, has earned the platinum certification.

Through his Instagram account, Tekashi shared the image that proves the RIAA certification.

“He can’t have a career after he gets out of jail AND IM NUMBER ONE YOU HATE TO SEE IT,” he wrote via Instagram.

6ix9ine’s official comeback single “Gooba” broke Eminem’s record for the most YouTube views in a single day for any Hip Hop video that premiered. The video clip has exceeded 381 million visits until Wednesday (June 24).

His second single, the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Trollz” became 6ix9ine’s first No. 1 song on the Hot 100. The track reached the top of the chart with roughly 116,000 digital copies sold, 36 million U.S. streams and 1.2 million radio airplay audience impressions in its initial week.
