The legendary basketball player has announced that he and his multi-million dollar shoe brand will donate $ 100 million to help social justice causes over the next 10 years.
Jordan continues to cement his legacy as one of the greatest icons of the black community in the USA; MJ has taken a step forward in the fight against racial inequality that exists in the United States.
“Black lives matter. This isn’t a controversial statement. Until the ingrained racism that allows our country’s institutions to fail is completely eradicated, we will remain committed to protecting and improving the lives of Black people.”
Jordan joins a long list of individuals and companies that have decided to donate money to promote significant changes in the social culture of the USA. Kanye West, Floyd Mayweather, The Weekend, Jay-Z, and Fashion Nova are some of the biggest donors so far.
The “Black Lives Matter” movement has gained a lot of momentum in the last days due to the intense protests that have taken place throughout the country, the protesters have united to demand justice and denounce the police brutality against the black community.
