Ana Lete’s New Single: Why Are You Being Nice To me?

Experimental neo-indie folk musician Ana Lete is releasing her new single today [June 5, 2020].

“Why Are You Being Nice to Me?” is Ana Lete’s 3rd single from her debut full-length album, Eternal Hibernation, and will be available on all streaming services. This track features a simple, yet emotive guitar, extremely raw belting vocals similar to that of Adele, and has also been compared to the songwriting style of Bob Dylan.

I’m in love with the “constellation” theme that Ana has going as of late. It makes for some stellar merchandise and branding [quite literally].

About the song, Ana says: “I wrote ‘Why Are You Being Nice to Me?’ during a time in my life when I wasn’t feeling very trusting of men or their intentions. Unlike the other songs on Eternal Hibernation, which took a long time for me to write, this song took me all of 5 minutes to finish. I turned on the voice memos app on my phone, picked up my guitar, and soon, ‘Why Are You Being Nice to Me?’ emerged. To this day, I think the sentiment of this song is one that women will really relate to on some level, especially given the recent me-too movement.”
