Major clothing retailer promises to donate $ 1 million to fight racism
During hard situations, heroes always emerge. That is what has happened with Fashion Nova, the major clothing retailer that has stepped forward to fight racial injustices.
The company has announced through its Instagram account that it will donate $ 1 million to different organizations to help fight racial injustices that affect the black community in the United States.
“Last Friday we announced that we were working on a plan to support the #blacklivesmatter movement. We have spent the past four days since then working with black community leaders, influencers and ambassadors to develop a plan. Today, Fashion Nova Cares announces our dedication to ongoing action. We are pledging to spend $1 million throughout 2020 in donations for community resources and activism, awareness campaigns and other initiatives to help in the fight for racial equality and opportunity.”
Fashion Nova has previously committed to helping those most in need. In April, they teamed up with Cardi B to donate $ 1.000 every hour for 42 days to help families affected by COVID-19.
The million dollars will go to the Black Lives Matters Foundation, the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, and Know Your Rights Camp. We hope that with this effort on behalf of Fashion Nova, other companies will join the initiative and help fight the racial injustice that exists in the USA.
