A few days ago the LP “The Marshall Mathers” celebrated its 20th anniversary since its release. To commemorate this event, Eminem participated in a group chat with his fans through Spotify to answer their questions.
Among the thousands of questions, they asked him some like “Would you collaborate with Post Malone?” Or “Do you have a new tour planned once the pandemic ends?”
One question caught his attention enough to answer: “Who do you think is the most underrated rapper of all time?”
The Slim Shady did not hesitate for a second to reply: “The most underrated rapper? Kxng Crook”
This was a sign of respect and admiration by one of his collaborators and longtime friends, Kxng Crook also participates in Eminem’s latest album, “Music To Be Murdered By” alongside ex-Slaughterhouse members Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5’9.
In early February, before the COVID-19 pandemic reached its peak in the USA, Em’ and Crook sat down to talk for an episode of “Crook’s Corner“, Eminem gave interesting statements where he assured that he does not mind being classified as “The king of hip hop.”
“I don’t want to be the king of Hip Hop. Who the fuck is the king of Hip Hop? Is there a king of Hip Hop? People say, ‘Just because you sell the most records doesn’t mean you’re the best. Even though you can rap 40 million syllables doesn’t mean you’re the best.’ I care more rhyming the syllables. I care more about the craft than any of the other stuff.” said Eminem.
