Tory Lanez and Meek Mill react to the murder of rapper Houdini
Tory Lanez is one of Toronto’s biggest Hip Hop stars of the moment. He, like many other rappers, reacted with sadness upon learning of the murder of the young rapper Houdini, which occurred yesterday.
According to local police reports, around 4 PM (local time), many calls were received alerting of a possible shooting on Kings Street and Blue Jays Way. When police officers arrived at the site, they encountered a victim who was suffering from gunshot wounds. A few minutes later the other two people who were victims of the shooting were found.
Police took Houdini and an unidentified 15-year-old boy to the emergency room of a nearby hospital, both in critical condition. However, Houdini died a few minutes later due to the severity of his injuries.
Upon learning the news, Tory Lanez could not contain his sadness and used his Instagram account to leave the following message: “I’m trying, and I can’t fight the tears from falling .. I can’t even find the words for a speech right now .. YALL TOOK MY FUCKING NIGGA AND ALL HE WANTED TO DO WAS LIVE !!!!!! #RIP Houdini 4 Ever!”
Meek Mill was another of the genre’s colleagues who dedicated a post to Houdini: “Rocked WIT YOUNGBULL VIBE AS A PERSON RIP! PRAYERS TO HIS SIDE!”
May has been a difficult month for the hip hop world, with the death of Houdini, the number of rappers killed this month amounts to four.
